A New Day is Dawning
Today is the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year 12–21–2020. It’s a day being marked and celebrated like no other in recent history for many reasons. It’s the “Great Conjunction” of Jupiter and Saturn, an event some are calling “the Christmas Star”.
There was a Great Conjunction in 7 B.C which some believe was the biblical “Star of Bethlehem”
The Great Conjunction comes around every 20 years or so and has been keenly observed by astrologers and linked to the rise and fall of royalty, leaders, and great people.
According to astrologer Daniel T. Ferrera, when a great conjunction occurs during a US election or inauguration year, the president is likely to die in office. This has been the case since 1840, except for the last two great conjunctions when Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush were in office. Notably though, there were assassination attempts against both those presidents during their terms.
The Dawning of a New Age
Today is also being celebrated as the “Dawning of the Age of Aquarius” as Saturn and Jupiter move into that zodiac sign for the next two hundred years. A zodiac age lasts 2160 years and the 12 ages combine for one cycle which is 25,860 years. The cycle is also called the precession of the equinoxes.
The term “Age of Aquarius” burst into the American lexicon with the “Hippy” culture of the 60s and the most popular song in the extremely popular Musical, “Hair”.
Aquarius is an air sign and air signs represent creativity, the intellect and ideas. It’s the sign of innovation, technology, and medicine and is predicted to bring forth many advancements in those areas. Aquarius represents the humanitarian so we should also see more humanitarian issues coming to the forefront.
Aquarius also represents revolution. We certainly saw a lot of revolution around the conjuncion of 1960 and we’ve been seeing a lot of similar cultural revolution with BLM in 2020.
There is some disagreement upon the beginning date of The Aquarian Age putting it anywhere from 12–21-2012 to 12–21–2024. From everything I know, feel and have been experiencing the beginning is Today!
Today, after joining in a worldwide meditation for peace, my eye was caught by a Rod Stewart and Jeff Beck cover of “People Get Ready” which made me think of Bob Marley’s One Love cover of it which made me want to listen to the original by The Impressions, which reminded me of another song by the impressions from 1965, Power to the People, which made me think about how that protest song echoed the struggles still going on in 2020, 60 years later.
People Get Ready made me think about how momentous this day is, how synchronistic things have been getting in my world and inspired me to write this post.
Portal to a New World
December 21, 2012, you may remember, was the last day of the Mayan calendar. there was a lot of apocalyptic hubub about the “end of the world”. I never went in for it at all. My feeling was that of the R.E.M. song End of The World. The lyrics, “It’s the end of the world as we know it. I feel fine” was more along the lines of what was going on in the world.
In fact, I’d been hearing messages from just about everywhere since 2009 that the whole world was starting to go through a major shift, a spiritual and consciousness shift, one that would finally transform the whole world into something more perfect and beautiful.
At first it was just whispers here and there coming through people I followed, in conversations, sermons, videos and talks. Soon it seemed like a flood and then Dr. Wayne Dwyer came out with his movie, “The Shift” which elucidated it on a personal level.
In 2010 I read a book by Barbara Marx Hubbard, a futurist, a visionary and evolutionary pioneer, called Conscious Evolution: Awakening the Power of Our Social Potential. That book opened me up to a the idea of conscious evolution and the part we, as humans, play in the process of evolution here on earth. It also set me on the path to today, the 2020 Portal to a New Earth.
I got very interested in Barbara, watched her videos on YouTube and ended up taking her Agents of Conscious Evolution class which she began by showing her documentary evolution movie, Humanity Ascending, Our Story.
That led to her Birth 2012 Celebration, a worldwide live broadcast, on December 21, 2012 which juxtaposed the apocalyptic idea of the end of the world with the idea of the Birth of a New World. It also led to the birth of the Shift Network which is carrying on her work now that she is gone.
2020 The Last Stand of the Old Paradigm
The world is broken and dying. All the old paradigms are outdated and no longer useful. Old systems are broken and dying. Our political system is broken. Our economic system is broken. Our educational system is broken. Our social system is broken. Our environmental system is broken. Our health system is broken.
Why was 2020 such a year of upheaval, chaos, and challenge? It’s because we’re all waking up to the fact that everything around us is breaking down. It’s causing a lot of upheaval, chaos and uncertainty. We see the people in charge of the old broken systems resisting change, trying to hang on to their power and fighting for their survival.
New and improved systems are emerging, struggling to be born and replace the old ones. It’s like when a computer program is outdated or corrupt. You don’t fix it, you have to replace it with a new, updated, better one.
Lots of people are resisting the upgrades out of habit, out of fear of change. Unfortunately for them, the only constant in life is change and it will not be denied. Resistance only leads to pain.
Duality is dying and being replaced by unity and oneness. Competition is being replaced by cooperation. Patriarchal systems and energy are being replaced by matriarchal systems and energy. Intolerance is giving way to forgiveness and acceptance. Science and spirituality are merging. Logic and the energy of the mind are being replaced by natural wisdom and the energy of the heart. Top down governance will be replaced by bottom up governance. The shift is happening in all systems and on all levels inside and outside of us as humans.
Another way some people explain it is that we’re going from a 3rd dimentional experience, reality and consciousness to a 4th and even 5th dimentional experience, reality and consciousness. Welcome to the Age of Aquarius. Welcome to Christ Consciousness! Welcome to 5th dimentional reality.
It’s the end of the world as we know it. We’re at the portal to a new Age. Don’t resist. Walk through with me. We’re living at the most exciting, the most amazing, the most transformational time to be alive in the history of the world! Let the journey continue.
